GRRReetings !!

I wanted to pick the brains of all my talented compardreis out there .... I want to create a BAR F1 car as no one seems to do one and it don't look like anyone has any plans to
I am thinking i need to convert an existing car and i am sure this is far from virgin territory for alot of you guys

Question is whiulst i am an experience modeller in terms of planes , figures , Warhammer etc I've never so much as taken a slot car apart. I am after any general hints and tips and also what would be a good car to use as a base for conversion
. What sort of paint would i need to use to get that almost printed finish etc etc
- any of you who now how this can be achieved please advise !! I will post pics up when done...

Cheers and Ta Muchley

Hi Rich,

I do custom F1 conversions using the stock Ninco cars. I do customized decals and so on becaus elike
you, no one produced all the F1's from the same manufacturer, so I went and did them myself. We race a 2004 F1 season at our club, (With Jag leading after eleven rounds I might add),

Check the scracth-building section on my site, www.slotcars.co.za

Hey Big Al

Your website is superb very informative and I would love to know more baout you tecniques and materials you use for thise fabulous results you have. How do people MAKE their own decals !!! guess to long building planes got me used to the luxury of them just being in the box !!

If my BAR turns out OK I am toying with any number of other ideas - A Prost / Ligier possibly - a Williams circa Damon Hill 1996 (ish) with full Rothmans livery and (the baby i'd really love to do) who remembers the Lola Mastercard Ford that was launched for the 97 season and failed to qualify in the first two races and then went banckrupt ?? can't even find a picture of one now
