I think folks are going to be put off at the cost of slotcar racing in general these days, not these issues in joining a local club and enjoying the benefits of other enthusisats to share fun times with for the sake of a tiny drop of cash each week (1.5 pints of beer and a packet of Nobby's nuts in your local pub?).

I just had the latest SlotIt McLaren delivered today at £50 including postage. That's expensive for a model that used to cost £33 only 14 months ago!
