Hi Everyone,
It looks as though I may have killed my 4PB with my experimentations ........

Are there any areas of the PCB that I should start to wander around or things to look at that might point to the cause? Things like fuses or stuff that is likely to have welded itself into an electron black-hole??

No symptoms other than no green LED when power is applied.

Any help appreciated ..... thanks

All the best - Greg

hi
the classic six car pb common problem was always directed at the mosfets, does the 4 car pb use these.??

As there are plenty of these around it may be cheaper to replace it than repair it,that is of course unless the are in tinker mode.

Remove the track from the base and disconnect the bridging wires. Bin the rest. Repairing these is really difficult and you are likely to chuck more money down the toilet.

hi
yes after last weekend's race meeting it would have been usefull to id a car halfway through a race.

One car packed up halfway into a 1hr endurance race and ssdc wont let you id a car in race mode.

Both my working 4PBs have been snapped up!

Better they go to a good home than take up space in my cupboard. Now I have space to hide a few more slot cars from the missus!!!
