Do you folks have ever tried to make copper wire branches and achieved good results? I see Brad had difficulties in finding less pricey branches and I was wondering if its something doable.
I was very curious to try this and would like to see any references (erm... actually would like to copy

)

How would you mask the copper? Just by painting directly on the wires or by applying modelling clay first (?) or something like? And how'd you attach the wires....solder?

Sig I'm sure you'd make a wonderful tree, so why don't you start yours and show us?

Hi Ember and Hub,

Thank your valuable examples of armatures I'm inspired now to create mine. I wish I had all that copper available, but will have to opt for a more economical solution and that of Embs seem to be an excellent one. I'll try that hollow trunk using those tubes.
I hope I'll show them ready soon.

cheers!
