Apologies if this is old news, but I saw this response to a question on the UK scalextric site:
Question:
Is it possible to use both the Digital system and the RMS at the same time, or will there be released an new RMS for digital ?
The normal hand controller comes with different ohms, how is that handled in Sport Digital?

Yes, you can use RMS on a Sport Digital layout.
The hand-controllers are digital and do not have a ohm rating since they merely provide a signal to the power base to allow a car go faster or slower. The handcontroller response if linear. e.g. depressed to halfway = 50% power.
Happy Racing,
Adrian
