what sort of range will the car be detected? and will the transmitters of all cars have identical ranges? I am just thinking that in a close race, there might be a lot of cars only centimeters apart,and will a car in lane 2 be close enough to send rf to the densor in lane 1 etc etc...
I guess this sort of system does work since some people have said that it is used for RC racing lap timing, but it does sound fiddly.
