hi I am new to the forum and slot model racing
I am a lotus fan and have a digital layout
I would like to purchase the Colin chapman lotus collection of 3 F1 cars
Lotus 25,49 and 72
I understand they are sold NOT digital ready
Has anyone converted these cars and if so how and what do I need and where can I get the parts
Thank you

Hi Kevin and welcome to the forum 👍

Yes all of those cars can be chipped and have been done successfully 👌

Have a look on here for the scalextric sport digital chipping database...

As a starter you need the retrofit c7005 Hornby chip or you could even use the f1 dpr chip and remove it from its plastic dpr hatch , not sure if these latter ones are still production items but do have better durability, although the c7005 will not be stressed in any way with how light these models are and the small button magnet used..

This was a fleet of 6 old school F1 cars that were digitised about 6 years ago.. they are beautiful to run in a group of well trained friends, wouldn't risk them with kids though 😉 🤣..
