Hi everyone we have agreed to put on a show of all that is new in Scalextric digital, and that means all those interesting things that have been developed here on this forum!

RikoRocket and Andy Wallace will be hosting the stand - or rather will be hosting the huge digital track that will be available for you to race on! Around 65 feet running length with half 2 lane, half 4 lane. A fast section and a twisty bit. Lots of lane changers, electrified flippers to allow you to stop without getting stuck. It will be using the latest powerbase the C7042 with modified code. The track will look like this:

It has a long pit lane and SSDC will impose a severe pitlane speed limit!

We will be holding a series of workshops to show you how to do things, these will be on the hour every hour. Subjects are up to you to decide now, but we will be having:

SSDC how to optimise settings for your circuit
SSDC pace car setting
Electrifying an XLC (demo)
PB-ProSH, a look inside
MIH In-CarPro demo

What would you like in a workshop? Please be vocal now so that we can bring bits to demonstrate.

We look forward to meeting all you digital folks. Don't forget to bring your favorite car to run on the track (we will have cars available) and the circuit CAN run analogue races for 2 lanes if you want a blast with an unchipped car.

I used to live just 20 minutes from Gaydon but now it would take me over 12 hours to get there. Any chance of videoing the workshops and posting them on the forum? Pretty Please with a cherry on top!!!!

The Centre is situated on the B4100 just outside the village of Gaydon. Travelling from North or South the easiest way to reach us is by following the signs from Junction 12 of the M40.

By Public Transport
Our nearest mainline rail stations are located at Warwick (8 miles), Leamington Spa (8 miles) and Banbury (11 miles).

LOL, I only WISH the Kent that is mere minutes from me was the one in the UK. Alas, I'm almost on the other side of the planet from this event. Besides, my camera work isn't especially impressive, nor my editing work. I just "did it". I'm hoping, like many of you, that someone who attends will be able to prop a camera somewhere for a workshop or two to share with the world. I'm especially curious about the SSDC Pace Cars, and XLC flipper livening workshops.

Absolutely! It will take a fair few hours to get the circuit up and running so I will be there from 10am on Saturday. Andy Wallace will be there just after lunch.

Circuit layout, this has got to be the ultimate Scalextric digital circuit! Jadlam eat your heart out!

This will be available to all to race on, we are not staging races just for teams like the rest of the club circuits, this will be for allcomers to try and experience the ultimate system....

You're right Riko it is a great circuit.

But I'm going to be contraversial and say that I don't see the point of the extra lane out left after the start finish. I cannot see any benefit/reason to change to the outside of the four lanes and go the long way round.

Just my thoughts.
