Inte since when did you become spokesman for ALL the clubs in the land? Isolated?
Got enough good people here active in the hobby to keep me happy racing for a while. I cannot remember inviting you to play on me digital track so don`t lose sleep over it matey boy although if memory serves me correctly the only go you have had on a digital track was at Phoenix. Am I right?

I should point out that being the only one in anything or any situation has never bothered me. We seem to be doing all right and are a happy bunch so I reckon each to their own as long as you and your club mates are happy.

Inte wrong! Every event I`ve ever organised I have had a supply of both cars and controllers for use by visitors or my own club members and it will be the same with the chips if necessary. At the Fly meeting I organised I ran short of club Fly cars so I gave out my own three race prepared cars that I was gonna race to three kids who turned up empty handed. Just face it, lay off bashing the way Phoenix is run because we are well organised and a sound club.

You have only tried SCX so far and there is more choice than just that make. You haven`t tried Digital on a large club circuit either. You asked questions about using digital in a club environment and so far I have answered them in the context of how we would approach the issues. Neither of us can speak for the other clubs. I am however, interested in two specific points you raised, power boosting and changing across all lanes.

As I pointed out before, you only have to please yourself, no-one is trying to force any racer or club to adopt anything that may make the hobby more interesting. In the meantime it makes sense perhaps to at least keep an open mind and listen to those with more experience of racing Digital at a club (Nico etc) before making a decision, unless it`s a Moto GP bike of course

Ha, ha! I too have now tried Digital - thanks to the peripatetic and patient Jon of Slotcity.

He kindly brought over an SCX set for the Oxford boys to trash, sorry, try - he also bought lots of shiney things for us to buy! Nice one, Jon.

Okay, so now you can't sit there and say, "Shut the _____ up, Wankel. You've not tried it, you Luddite."

Although you can say, "Shut the ____ up, Wankel. You've only tried the SCX system."

Fair do's.

No, I didn't think the lane changers a problem.

Yes, I thought it a novel toy. Very clever.

Yes, it caused a lot of crashes, more than you would expect on such a short track if you only had two cars running. More than was acceptable to me - it interupts the flow, you're not racing someone, you're praying you don't come off.

No, I would think it pure hell to have six cars battling on such a short track as provided.

It clearly is crying out for a longer track. And doesn't that run against the, "you don't need to have a longer track" arguement?

I'm not afraid to say, having tried it I can see the novelty, I can see the effort that has gone in to developing it, trouble is, I can't see it existing in two to three years time. Anyone remember TCR? How many sets do they sell a year these days?

Thanks a bundle for taking the time and effort to bring it, Jon - I hope our purchases paid for the petrol!

To all of you why don´t you come over to Belgium in October for a visit at the 24h race in Eupen, B, and take a close look at the DAVIC system as one of the possible digital supplier for the future.
Most of your questions can be answered there LIVE by seeing the system at work plus the guys who invented it are there and participating in the race as well!!!

Here is a link for the event:

Many parts are in English as well. And at the bottom of the page is the review and pics of the 2003 event (with DAVIC as well).

And hey, Belgium is not that far away!!!! Exept for those of course who would not even cross the street to watch.........
