Added a couple of customs to the 'official' stable:

Picked up a vinyl Lightning McQueen and Finn McMissile for £2.97 from the place where every little helps. Looks like they will bounce nicely when the kids crash them :)

Lightning McQueen converted from a vinyl toy car on a short Mega-G and an official Micro Scalextric version:

Micro Scalextric Lightining McQueen, Shu Todoroki, Chick Hicks, Tyco Doc Hudson and Vinyl toy conversion Lighting McQueen and Finn McMissile:

Amazing they would go to all the trouble and expense of a different mold, what with cost of a Pixar license they could of joined AFX in doing real LMPs. That is not where they are focused of course, but it does offer the possibility of repaints. Do you have any other pictures?

We used to do themed events at nationals a lot, but with the lunch breaks needing to be shorter and people wanting to practice or chill they died off.

The best one I can recall was at Billericay (back when the EA in EAHORC stood for East Anglia), where we used Pancake cars with The fast and the furious bodies. The winner-stays on 'quick and dirty' events were fun too.

QUOTE (Leet @ 17 Oct 2011, 20:13) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Diesel, did you say that these came from a store 'every little helps'. Did you buy them as a boxed set or individually? As my little boy would love these.

These are the official Cars cars available:

Lightning McQueen & Shu Todoroki (Argos exclusive Cars 2 Micro Scalextric set)
Lightning McQueen & Nigel Gearsley (Cars 2 Micro Scalextric set)
Lightning McQueen & Fracesco Benoulli (Toys R Us Cars 2 Micro Scalextric set)
Lightning McQueen & Chick Hicks (Cars Micro Scalextric set)
Lightning McQueen & Doc Hudson (US Tyco Cars set)

None of the cars are available seperately. Hence why I'm still missing a couple.

I also converted a Lightning and Finn from supermarket toys and they work really well. Ten minutes with a craft knife and a couple of sticky pads and they run great. They bounce well too. At less than £3 each a bargain. Not sure if any of the other cars they do at T will fit a slot car chassis.
