I'm curious, does pulling a face whilst racing allow you to go faster? Is it a case of, the more hideous the face, the faster you'll go? Also, is their a favourite position to be in whilst performing?
Doesn't seem to help Graeme much or the bobbing about
Been in a race with him one side and Diddy Druce on the other, only saw my car for half of the race
Since many people seem to believe that "going faster" is the same as "having more fun", it stands to reason that those who are having more fun are going faster.
its been known from time imemorable, that doing the funky chicken and monkey, and pulling weird faces whilst murmering swear words under your breath with the occasional uncontrollable outburst, makes you 10 times quicker. i thought everyone knew that. john
We have a club racer, Known as the cobra, his technique is to stick tongue between clenched lips and for the tip to flick up and down snake like. ?Unfortunately it does seem to work!
Went to the 1/24th Nationals last week and there was a large variety of faces being pulled but one driver was moving his whole body as if he was going round the track himself
The other side of the coin is that making faces and noises can slow the other racers down. One of the guys in my club can swivel his head around like Linda Blair in the Exorcist and that certainly can be distracting.
LOL! The things you learn on these bulletin boards. Being American, I had to look up "gurning". Wikipedia tells me that a "chuck" is another word for a "gurn". Kinda reminds me of a "nanker" (that's "Phelge" to you Stones fans).
