I know there different fittings obviously but with regard to actual use, does it matter if you mix sport and classic track? Also what about mixing sport and SCX.

Mate has some quite new SCX track he doesn't want. I've got sport track but have a lap timer so I can use those pieces to convert the track.

Scaley Sport can accomodate a deeper guide blade. Also the Sport track may have less grip than classic.

With adapters it will all go together, but be warned about slot depth and trouble with braids making contact. Since the Sport is flat (i.e. rails flush with track, not raised as on classic or SCX) cars running on old stuff tend to find the braids not quite dropping down low enough all the time on sport. My theory anyway.

I,ve got Classic, Sport & SCX on my home circuit. Runs perfectly well.

Just follow the instructions with the Sports-Classic adaptor pieces and you should have no problem. The instructions say you may need to cut off the plastic tongue under the rail joiners as sometimes SCX and older Classic will push the Sports rail up a bit.
