I need some Ninco drive bands. I notice that they either come in a pack of 1x black band, 1x red band + 2 pulleys or a pack of 2x black bands + 2x red bands.

What's the deal? Are the bands different sizes, or dfferent tensions? Is one colour grippier than the other?

All my Ninco 4wd cars came with black bands.

My Ninco ProRace scoobies are fitted with a pair of red bands each.

Hhmmm. That could be a reason, then. Mine are all the "normal" cars with single bands (except the '05 Lancer, which came with a twin set-up).

make your own bands with nitrile cord. you super glue the ends together and you can have as much or as little tension as you want. by the way its a hellava lot cheaper this way. john

you can get it on uk ebay in different diameters. i use it for the car pulleys and my home made tyre truers. john
