Afternoon All, I am new to this so please go easy on me. I am after a little bit of advice, I have recently brought some Tomy Tyco AFX track and want to build my own track in the garage. The board size I have purchased is 5x15ft which I plan to pull up to the garage ceiling when not in use, so what i need is a folding leg design and if anybody else has done the winch up to the rafters method.

You're help would be greatly appreicated.

Hi Lee,

There are many designs and builds on this thread that meet your requirements. I would start looking at "Flatlands" by Hankscorpio for the folding stuff as he shoe-horned three tracks into one. Also search for Stricko's tracks as he used an electric winch to hind the track as part of the spare bedroom's ceiling.

A mate of mine uses 2 Silverline winches to hoick a 5' x 14' track up to the ceiling of his garage. (Silverline sponsor Plato in BTCC)

He reckons they were about £60 a piece..
