Egger Silberpfeil marketed the Jouef slot cars in Germany during the 1960s.
They are highly sought after items now.
This Mercedes 300 S.L. is in brand new/ unused condition.

Thanks Ember & Lloyd.
I was told by a French Jouef collector that Egger were a fairly big noise in the Continental model railway scene.
According to him in early 1963 they brought out the Egger Silberpfeil slot racing system, but couldn`t afford to develop the system so sold the rights on to Jouef. Egger then sold the Jouef cars under license for a limited period.
I`ve tried checking this out , but I`ve drawn a blank.

They tended to use a very weak pink paint on the driver which doesn`t show up well on photos.
