As I've been updating and rebuilding the club track(my own track but no place at home
), I've decided to rename it after the series that we run during the winter.
Soooo, here is the new and improved EMSAC Raceway.

Some corners are not named yet, so any idéas are welcomed

/Tom

EDIT!! The track is Scalextric classic.
Table measures 7,20 x 2,50 metres

Wankel: We do use marshals when we race. 6 marshals are enough to caver th whole track actually.
The marshalls also have a small spade(sp?) to help them get the cars.
The table doesn't stand against a wall at any side.
During our support races, we use Scaley Nascars and a 3 lap Crash & Burn.

Scott: EMSAC is a tribute to my kids... Emma & Isac = EMSAC.

Looks like a great track so far.

Here are some name suggestions for your curves.

No.5 could be Michelin Hairpin.
One of the many right hand corners could be Goodyear Turn.
No.6 could be Dunlop Arch.

That's just a few for now. I'll try to come up with more ideas later.

What do you think?

The complex seem better to run than before.
I rather liked the sharp #3 of the previous.
It will be hell for the one having both hairpins at #5 and #7.

I'll be there, and get squared.

QUOTE or critisism for that matter.??

Too many corners for me!
Take out turns 7, 8, 9 and 10 and put in a straightway between 6 and 11 and you would have a fine circuit.

why do people make slot tracks so complex?

Skipping 9 and 10 would for sure make it more flowing.
As a compenastion one could move 12 left and make both 12 and 13 135°.
13 would then be easier to marshal too, if it's pushed to the right.

Hi!

Nice track, Catman. I have to agree with Phil though. I would like to see more long straights. Here´s our reproduction of 60´s Keimola racetrack. Very simple, lots of straights. Still challenging and fun to drive. Some more info here

Catman, please keep us updated how your project goes!

Cheers!

Julius
