Following on from GT's most excellent event last weekend, I feel we should start planning an event of our own for next year! After all, we do have an excellent venue. Which although doesn't have masses of pit space, should comfortably accommodate six teams of four-six people (We've done it before).
So, the question is: When do we want to do it? What format should it take? What car's should we use?
My preferences would be: 12 hour duration, Slot.it cars/parts, maybe modern sports car models instead of the usual group c stuff for a change, sometime early next year so we can take advantage of the shorter days to incorporate a night session.

Thoughts anyone

I like the sound of a 12 hour race, although a 24 hour is challenge I don't think that you need to go on that long, to be honest by 12 hours I've had enough. With 12hrs there is no need to put a light kit in, which helps in the prep department.

Cars, for 12hrs NSR Classic (maybe the same make), Slot.it Classic, Sloting plus Reynard 2KQ, or Ninco Xlot BMW, Porsche.

We could hold this 12hr event without to much problem.

I think BRMS would be good , but im not sure we would get the response... I think NSR classic will be best, with glued and trued tyres as you wont/shouldnt need to change them after 12 hours!

I think a 24hr is out of the question due to the clubs location.

Sound (and smell) does travel and I think the residence particularly those above the club would not be happy.

12hr would be great, as for cars, keep it simple, Slot.it seems favouritale.

I think the best time would be towards the end of January but if we have another winter like last year, you run the risk of bad weather getting in the way.
