Hi Hakon, welcome to the forum.

The motor you describe can be replaced by the Team Slot one but there is a slight difference in the small gear that drives the rear axle. You would find the same problem with the recent re-issue from Techni-toys. If you have the ability to change this gear it will be fine or if you change the gear on the axle itself.

The SCX (Techni toys) motor is not currently available as a spare but we hope that may change soon. Jexy1 may be able to help with more info as it was the first thing I asked him to find out from Techni toys when he was speaking to them.

I have many of these cars too and being able to get brand new motors would be helpful. Not that I have had any go wrong, just that sometimes these cars are put together from parts and the newer RX4 motor is used.

Thanks for your answers .No problem to change the gear i can fix that.I have thought aboat changing motor to another brand but all motors i have dont fit without cutting in the chassi.I dont want to cut in my mint condition sexweeler Tyrell or my Niki Lauda Ferarri etc. So i will try to buy the Teamslot motor and se how it will work. The bad thing is that it`s so expensive, the TS1.

The RX4 (can motor) will fit in these cars with the proper brackets without the need to cut the chassis. The brackets may not be currently available from Technitoys but are also made by Pink Kar. If you find some with a black pinion gear they will also match up with the rear axle. Pink Kar also make new rear tyres for the classic F1 cars you have.

Hi Hakon

Bad news I'm afraid, Tecnitoys (SCX) do not make the RX1 motor as a spare part, they made a number for the Vintage releases, but have no plans to make them available as a separate item.

It's top of my list of NSCC members questions and I hope they may reconsider.

If they do I will let you know.

As Mr Material mentioned, most of the cars will take the newer RX4 or RX41 which is available as a spare.

i konw it may be a bit mad, but is the Teamslot motor more expensive than buying a Vintage SCX model? i think the Sigma is still available at most dealers, take the motor out, car in display cabinet, job done!!

If you do decide to use the new SCX RX1 motor, a word of advise, oil it well and run it in! they are very stiff and need a good run in to get them going for racing.

Good luck

Hi, and welcome Hakon! (or is it Håkan?)

Where in Sweden are you from? I'm from Lund. Nice to see some Swedes on the board

Can't really help you in this matter, my best advice would probably be to buy the Sigma like mentioned above. I haven't seen these motors around much... Try Pendle first, drop a mail to Sean and I think he might come up with a solution. Or you could pick up an old Pink Car cheaply and get the adapter piece from there I guess. I have no real experience here, so don't ask me what models that have them (I just vaguely remember a rather ugly Porsche 911 that had them).

This was a nice board. first to Bastumannen or is it Leif, tjaba.I think it was from you i bought my first Fly cars.
Mr SEAN is working on to getting me 3 Teamslotmotors,so i will wait and see what he can find out.It shall be as original as it can be

The Sigma is on its way from USA so there comes one motor but i dont want to use that car.My favorit at the moment is the Fly Panoz.
I will try to get the RX4 motor and making a test in the Ferarri, because the Ferarri is hell of a racer if i compare with the same class of F1(old Scalextric) but i think the motor makes it great in someway.Try this link to get a picture of the motor http://www.guide-slotracing.com/index.php?product=312
Thanks everybody,i will be back.
Regards Hakon
