Hi guys
Thought you'd like a preview of a new development we are taking foward. We will be producing a limited run of 10 upgraded cars as part of a Tucker RS series. They will bear a Tucker RS badge and each car will have its own numbered signed certificate. Work is in progress but just to give you a taste of whats in store below are pictures of the prototype. Your thoughts and input on the concept are welcomed - we will make an announcement on the details once they are finalised and we expect them to be available in Oct/Nov.

I have roadtested this model personally on the Getslotted test track and I can vouch for the car being much smoother than standard SCX kit with a significant improvement in lap times.

This is an interesting new venture on the limited edition front (Scalextric, take note. Your SPORT limited editions could be like this!)

Why the fuss about wide wheels?

I thought they looked cool.

And BWA, when are your wheels arriving in the UK?

"You cannot complain if you are not in the game!"

What other cars do you think should have the "Tucker RS" (copyright) treatment?

PS I did a "google" search on "Tucker RS" and nothing came up. "Moped Rider" had a far more successful outcome. "

"You will not have fame if you are not ahead in the search game!"

All this poetry. It must be the cider!

I would certainly agree with Swissracer that a "Tucker RS" Scalextric Opel would increase the appeal to folk in the UK. Or even a "Tucker RS" Scalextric Mercedes CLK.

Something worth thinking about.

Unlike Wankel I can see the point and I wish the project well.

The key will be the price which has yet to be determined.

So given that you are a newbie looking to try something out and you can by an off the shelf upgraded car what sort of price do you think newbies might be prepared to pay?

Now remember it might require £25 worth of parts at list to provide the upgrade, with tyres, wheels, motor, crown, pinion, cables, axle, etc.

And what then happens to the parts that are stripped? Does the customer receive these also in a pack?

What is the price pitch to be?

Hmmm.

Inte. Having spoken to the boys at GS there is a bit more to this project than at first meets the eye. I don't want to say much more at this stage but just wait and see what developes.
