I made the 3DP project of modern F1 cars with NSR Formula 86/89 motor pod.

Printed by Shapeways with White Premium Versatile Plastic(nylon),which is strong enough for crash and already smooth on surface.

You can get the shiny body easily with primer.

They are as quick as NSR 80s' F1.

I like those a lot.
So the bodies are shapeways?
Is the chassis 86-89 or just the motor mount ?

Body and chassis are both printed by Shapeways.

Use NSR f1 motor mount(I painted it in black).

I like these cars and the finish is really good to be a 3dp body.

But having to buy both the body and the chassis from shapeways might be quite expensive especially given that the Policar generic cars look rather good.

I bought 2 policar modern F1 and have done many 3dp projects with policar motor, they are great but not powerful as NSR turbo F1.

Yes my NSR F1 2019 project is not cheap and model-skill-demanding,but it is the material that make 3DP F1 really solid. You don't need to worry about the front wing breaking anymore(no-magnet surely).

Just share my vision of better F1 slot racing.

Definitely I can see some benefit in your project. However, personally I am not in the "more power" lot and prefer a more balanced approach.

To me either powerful or balance approach are good,I enjoy the different style anyway.

Hi dashin24,

Congratulations on a great product. F1's have been my passion in slot racing since I started, this is another great additon. Well done and thank you.

Could you confirm the chassis and body will accept an O2 digital C chip in the same way the Policar was designed to do and the NSR is able to do?

all the best

I cannot comfirm if my chassis have enough room for chip, because there's no digital slot race in my country.
Cutting under the driver seat may be inevitable.

$70 is without tax

Body 48.8 + chassis 24.4 + accessories 12.2 = $85.4

Processing $4.28

Shipping $18.28

Tax 22%

So (85.4 + 4.28 + 18.28) x 22% = $131.71 not $70

Unforunately the additional cost almost double the bill.

Tax 22%

.....................
My order on shapeways is shipped from Netherlands.
And the Tax is about 8.5% in Taiwan.
Well,I love to make a unique F1 slot car and don't care too much about the cost.

Taxes in Europe are very high, in France it used to be 33% in the 70's

Yeah, I think if you really like it, you won't care about the cost...

As DaveLat mentioned, if we can put an Oxigen C chip, i'll have a try for sure.

Atobit, it does not make sense to me that you have to pay tax if you get them from Shapeways in the Netherlands.

My bad!

The numbers on the order page were confusing, I went through the complete process.

Total order was 89 Euros for a shipment to Italy.

Now I just have to wait for the prints and order the NSR parts to complete the kit.

I think a C chip will fit that chassis and body.

Why the tape in front of the pod?
