And remember there's still Pouchaire floating about and deserving a drive, can't see him at Sauber/Alfa Romeo next year.
If Porsche team up with the energy drink car in 2026 will they need a German driver for some good pr coverage, possibly Mick Schu to Alpha Tauri in a year or so.

Seeing as there is a bit of a driver merry-go-round going on triggered by the Vettel retirement announcement, I for one would be interested in seeing a drive opportunity for one or more of the women drivers such as Jamie Chadwick, even if only for a season or several races at least.

Based on her abilities and recent performances, I think she could do no worse than some with a current Effing 1 seat.

With RB doing well Honda have now decided to offer engine support until the end of the current engines, wonder if that would have happened if RB had got the cars design all wrong?

Fully agree with Zippy lots of talk about inclusion but no action as far as drivers are concerned, still seems F2 and money is more important than talent.

Yup planet F1 reporting this also, be interesting to see where Danric goes, for whatever reason he just can't get on with the latest generation cars.
Not being able to get on with the latest generation cars goes for a lot of us spectators as well, not just some of the drivers.

I much preferred F1 when they played music like this:

An interesting littler video, in French but worth the watch. I wonder how many penalties the Renault and Ferrari, at the beginning, would get these days. A good guide to how to build you own F1 car from plywood. more cars at the end as well.

McLaren are now offering trainers/sneakers at 450 dollars per pair. To me they resemble luncheon from a pie shop dropped into a septic tank close to Chernobyl.
The thought of radioactive feet and footware brought back a distant memory from my youth.

Does anyone else from the UK (possibly around the world) remember these things, which could be found in most Clarks footware stores?:

Gesture Wood Font Art Hardwood

I have vivid recollections of staring at the bones in my feet on numerous occasions during shoefittings when I was a kid, only to be told off by the salesperson not to use it so much.

'elf and safety wasn't much of a thing back in the early 1970's apparently, and little wonder my feet now glow in the dark!!!

An unfortunate example of when being in charge, and believing you have your "finger on the pulse", turns out to be as far from the reality as you could possibly get, without being in a production of Alice in Wonderland.........

Ohh well, back to the drawing board......Dohhhhhh!!

A handful of GP venues that have been axed, or are awaiting the chop. Anything to keep greedy shareholders happy, though, eh?

Please don't answer the last question if you're an Effing 1 fan, as your views don't count. Just keep paying for tickets, responding to ads, and watching the idiot's lantern to maintain ratings. 'Seasy innit!

Sometimes when I see pictures like these I just want to cry for what we have lost.
Is it little wonder...........

When "BIg Corporate" take over anything (everything in my experience), what was once pure........real drivers, real cars, real racing, amazing circuits and venues, and true real fans, many of them who couldn't afford the price of a programme let alone a ticket to an event today............

All you are left with is a soulless, heartless circus.

In the late 1960s Ferrari produced cars for the road, CanAm, F1, Le Mans (and other sports venues) and mountainclimbing. It became clear that they'd bitten off more than they could chew.

I wonder if history is repeating itself. View attachment 313567
Thinking about it, the old saying 'there's two guarantees in life - death & taxes'...you could argue there's three and add ' and history repeating itself' because sure as eggs is eggs it does.

My thoughts exactly Laurence......

Real drivers, real cars, real racing, amazing circuits and venues, and true real fans, not the "Celebrity types" or Corporate sponsor invited "fans" currently invited or attracted to the "show".
Most who haven't the first clue about the event they are even at, with a number not even bothering to watch, being more interested in taking selfies or the hospitality tent.
