Red Bill are about to announce a deal with Ford.
Reading an article, a chap named David commented: "
Like Audi, Honda would only want to build their own engine.

Red Bull already started their own engine and factory (due to Honda's earlier decision), so that was a sticking point.

Porsche was happy to rebrand the RB engine... but wanted too much say in the RB team. No go.

Ford apparently is happy just to rebrand the engine, and let the RB team be. Ideal."

I was surprised to see your post about the Ford deal. But it makes sense.

The only good thing about modern Formula One is the safety standards. Which it has to be said is also true of all motorsport.

Accepting the risk is what always separated drivers from the rest of us. Fortunately they haven’t found a way to undo that in rallies and hillclimbs, which is where the heroes are. As Walter Röhrl put it: the tree does not move, the ditch does not move… this is why I prefer rally’.

Haven’t stopped watching this all weekend.

'Twould be rather nice if scribblers could get awf their backsides, actually find a few pointers, and let us know the score. Are Porsche returning to Eff 1 or not?

Years ago, anyone who wanted to know what was what only had to pop in to the Stuttgart canteen for an hour, and all became clear. Always first class cooking, too.

Ferrari Corsa Clienti days are where the fabulously wealthy get to play with their toys with a squad from Maranello in tow. I think I'm right in saying that most Ferrari F1s of the past 30 years won't run at all without the right computers to plug into them anyway, so a lot of owners just leave them in Italy and then have them shipped to wherever the next track day is.

Anyway, Charles Leclerc was at this week's event in Abu Dhabi and took one of the F2003-GA's out for a spin. Given that the settings were fairly approximate and the tyres were far from optimum, he managed to set a time just 3 seconds off last year's fastest lap. And made a nice noise...

Still, it’s good to see that Eff1’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint is done by testing under flood-lights using enough electricity to light up Birmingham for a week!
But it certainly is a nice noise!:)

The latest gossip on Eff 1 feeds is that Honda have signed up to be an engine supplier from 2026, and not only that, they are being linked with HAAS
