Facebook Group

We've had a suggestion, that we set up a Facebook 'Group' (or something), in the hope that by identifying ourselves as wishing to start a Scalextric night, new potential members will 'find us', and get in contact. Has anyone had any experience of setting up this, and had any success with it ?
