Brian's Race report :-
With only 13 to race F1 (F2) it was a quieter but still exciting night. In the "D" final was Ralph, Fi and Geoff and from the start Ralph was having car problems and after the first segment it was Geoff in the lead 1/2 a lap up on Fi with Ralph four laps down at the back. Ralph decided to ditch the ailing F1 and then started the big comeback with winning by 2 laps from Geoff and Fi not having one of her better nights third. In the "C" final was Ian, Rich and Sue who was using a car borrowed from Brian. It was Ian who took the lead and stayed there until the end with a 12 lap lead over Sue who had a 12 lap lead over Rich who was suffering with his controller until he borrowed one from Greg. In the "B" final was Steve, Greg and Dave, Dave went into the lead and stayed there followed by Greg and Steve, but Greg was having a few problems with his car (the nut on the controller i think) and crashed heavily allowing Steve through and that's how they finished. In the "A" final was Simon, Brian, Sandy (using a car borrowed from Brian) it was Brian who hit the front first but an off soon put him at the back but at the end of the first segment it was all very close with Brian back in the lead 1/4 of a lap up on Sandy who was 1/2 a lap up on Simon who was 1/2 a lap up on Josh, at the end of the second segment Brian was still only 1/2 a lap up on Sandy who was now 1 lap up on Simon with Josh slipping to the back with car/controller problems, Brian then pulled out a lead which he held until the end, Sandy was second only 1/2 a lap up on Simon and Josh was 4th. Driver(s) of the night go to Dave for his 4th place and Ralph for such a good effort, the top three were Brian, Sandy and Simon. It was also good to see that Sandy brought her car box after a long lay off (she has only got to remember to put some cars in now) 😀
