Sorry for the slight delay, please see below time sheets for you to download and print prior to the event.
There are 9 planned stages plus a practise stage (should space allow).
Some with/without brakes, some low powered transformers, some very tight and twisty, some serious elevation changes, smooth - a mixture - all will be marked with info.
A gentle reminder to all;
No running starts - static start from the line on all stages - always.
No advanced practise on the actual stages - no installation laps - if we have space we will provide a practise stage.
As always at SlotRallyGB events - you police yourselves within groups - if in any doubt ask me for a ruling or clarification.
Hi Gareth.
Slight worry over the cryptic 'with/without' brakes!
Just how many of the nine stages, have we got to look out for 'non brake'!
I need to know if its worth installing an SCX RX 25k motor in the NSR 997!
Cheers Bill.
Blimey this game is getting technical! Changing engines because of tracks might have/not brakes?
I know I am still a novice at Slot Rally but surely some cars run better on some tracks than others, this enhances the challenge of different tracks at different venues which I thought was the whole point of the fun factor at Slot Rally?
Maybe it's not just fun for some people and some do take it very seriously I know, and each to their own on that one I suppose. (probably why they are at the top of championships and I am not!)
I just race each track as it comes and adjust my driving to each circuit and if I get a good run, or a bad run, c'est la vie, it's the same for everybody. Telling me if a track has brakes or not makes no difference but maybe my opinion on that one will change as time goes on!
Look forward to meeting up with you all at Farnham again with the 3 legs of Man, Dave C, Ryan K and myself. Oh, and I will bring details of the Manx round for 2013. Some good news to give you, hopefully. See you all in 9 days!

We were thinking distilled beer to give a more muddy effect, but when we tried it with the coco powder we got some sort of choc beer with a hint of oil and stopped work - more testing/drinking required!

I think with a bit of baking powder you will have some beer muffins!
thanks for the info - the nsr porsche with no brakes is horrible to drive, a quick blip and watch it coast round for the next 10ft. It would be more satisfying to push it round and make the corresponding vroom vroom noises (which is actually the secret of any of my slot rally success!)
QUOTE (driver#8 @ 14 Sep 2012, 11:25) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Can you also ask Dave to make sure that the ambient temperature stays at 23 degrees +/-1 please, Gareth... otherwise I'll have to change all my tyres.
Sorry Dave, meant to tell you and all that...............
Haven't got any beer muffins, so I may well wear my cider visor - I can't drive any better when I'm wearing it,but by the time I've drunk enough for it to kick in, I don't care!
I can imagine it's a right handful running the NSR Porsche without brakes, but to echo Spangy, it levels the playing field a bit where the NSR leaves my poor little ancient SCX's for dead on the wide open sweeping tracks.
It'll be a grand day out, and the usual experts will show their skills regardless of what track is under them. I do however think the Farnham club's intention of clearly marking each stage's properties will be a lot fairer to those who's cars (and championship challenging positions) are more affected by those properties. All will be running under the same conditions.
Looking forward to a good day out and being on the end of Mr Angold's Manx inspired wit. ;o) See you Sunday gang.
