I was just looking at a worn out Slot.It MN06 motor. It has a super commutator on it and it is thick enough to get a couple of cuts on it to make it round and flat once again. However the brush assembly is 'used up' to the point where it needs to be replaced.

Does anyone have a source for purchasing this assembly? I'd like to recycle these motors rather then disposing of them or creating more paperweights.

Thanks in advance.

Hi F1 Slotter,

Try looking up Kenon Hobby (in California), just had some PN Racing Silver Carbon hi-performance brush assemblies at $2.99
each, I had an order inc postage of $10 ($42 in total) at just over £26.00, order took 7 days and no customs charge.

They are Mini Z r/c specialists but Mini Z use some fancy FC 130 motors, look under Motors and also Slot Racing in the sidebar.

Robert.

Crusader,

Thanks for the tip. I just found a new place to shop.

Prices are not bad - much cheaper then a new motor!

Customs charges seem to be a bit of a lottery these days, sometimes you get caught, sometimes no problem.
If you do get caught, handling charges can be more painful that the duty paid.
