Hi there,

Looking for better pics of this dark blue car as can't identify some of the sponsorship decals from the few pictures I've found. Can make out most of them in the picture posted here:

http://www.sportscardigest.com/1967-24-hou...llery-part-two/

But drawing a blank on the large red one just above the front wheel, can't make out just what's in front of the rear wheel also - If anyone's found a nice side view of this car please direct me. There's a diecast model out there also - Any pics of that showing decals would likely be useful also.

Here's hoping and many thanks !

Simon.

Hmm... sorry as meant to post this in the "details and pictures wanted section" section but it's here now - I'd move it but don't know how so if anyone else can...

Thanks Alexis, those are useful but still pretty small - the one just behind the meatball looks like a Firestone perhaps though ? Still drawing a blank on that large red one at the front - anybody recognise that ?

Hi gluebomber,

Not easy to find out, but in my view the large red one at the front might well be a Prestone sticker, the same as the one also visible behind the cockpits of the works Ferrari #23 and #24 at Daytona the same year. Below some pics supporting this view, although not of the original car unfortunately.

Now look again carefully at the 250 LM and you will be convinced.
Once you have identified all the other stickers (other than Champion, Fram and Pure), get back to me if you would be interested in decals.

Cheers,

Nicely done Jean Pierre - That's exactly what I'm aiming for.

Car is a re-cast of the 1/24th Academy / Minicraft 250 LM and I've most of those decals on sheets already. Not sure about the Prestone but it might be there, is simple enough for me to duplicate if isn't.

And yes abie321, pretty sure that's an Autolite decal at the bottom also.

Thanks to all of you for the help !

Sorry guys, I don't believe the white circle is Autolite. If you look carefully at it on the initial pic of the 250LM, you may recognize the PRESTOLITE logo, as visible on pics below, in different versions. So, after PRESTONE, now PRESTOLITE...

That said, difficult to go further with the text below (batteries, etc).

And belated thanks for the heads up on that one also Jean Pierre - I've yet to find that in my stash but think the best source for the large Prestone is the picture that you posted from Flikr on that rather stunning P4 replica...

Cheers,
