Rail Racer has asked me to post these work in progress photographs of the Slot Classic bodied Ferrari 250GTB rail car being built by Steve Francis:

The model is to be part of the forthcoming Brooklands Museum exhibition piece. It looks like Steve is doing a lovely job - perhaps Jeff can give us a few more details later...

hello everyone, I`m not really that fast but as I am supposed to painting the outside of a house and its been pouring with rain most of the day I had to substitute a brush for a soldering iron. Question: as I registered to join you lot about 5 mins. ago I dont know how it all works, so how do you put that little pic. in the top left corner. Keep the answers simple as I`m a bit of a dinosaur when it comes to P.C.`s cheers steve

Now what button do I push next...........

Steve, for the little pic (avatar), click your name at the top of the page (where it says "Logged in as:" and then click "Avatar options". You'll need a tiny pic (64x64 pixels) that is downloadable (it can be an image on your own PC), or choose one of the standard ones in the SF gallery.

BTW - You build excellent looking chassis with that paint brush!

This is one of a pair of Slot Classic Ferrari's being built for the Brooklands Museum Exhibition.

The other car will be a slot car this to show the difference between the two kind of cars in the same bodyshell.

Tomorrow Richard will post a picture of the painted body Steve has just sent me, not only is he a really really fast worker but is a fine artist too.

This car will be finished as the Moss/Rob Walker Goodwood car.

Hi Steve
Fancy finding you on the forum.
You are a quick worker, that chassis looks good.

Don't listen to them, that avatar has got to be better than one with a chicken purched on the toilet roof of another less famous NLondon outfit!

Cheers

Looking very sweet and love the colour of the bodywork, got a pic of the livery to be as it is/was on the 1:1 ?

I also am having trouble getting my head round one question...

Why does it seem everyone is posting these pics except Jeff and Steve??? (well johnp anyway)
Or is this just me?

I only have front views of the two Rob Walker cars that Moss drove.

Now I had always wanted the Moss 250GTB.

So when I saw David's pictures from Goodwood I thought that does it. So David it's down to you that what colours the rail car will be.
