This is the 2004 model:

Olympus together with famous luxury car maker Ferrari will release a new camera called the Ferrari Digital Model 2004 on June 21st. There is no word on pricing at the present time. Only 10,000 units will be produced worldwide.

The 2004 model is painted in Ferrari red and on the front of the camera in the center, "Ferrari Digital Model 2004" is printed. On the back of the camera, the casing is made from the same carbon fiber that the Ferrari F1 is made from. Additionally, the Ferrari emblem is also present on the back of the camera next to the LCD display. The cradle for the camera is also designed by Ferrari.

Another added feature of this high end camera is during start up, "F2004" appears while playing the sound of a Ferrari engine. Another function called Ferrari Frame is also built-in to the camera. The camera also comes with a red buckskin leather case with red stitching, neck strap with Ferrari emblem imprinted on it and a CD-ROM containing photographs of the Ferrari team from 1999-2003.

Remember the 2003 model:

Seems like the brand is being diluted with soda:

Like my mates at Gizmodo say: "if you really need a laptop with the famous Ferrari red and logo, you should check out the Acer Ferrari 3200 reviews, like the one they just posted at Pocket Lint. While it's not the absolute fastest laptop out there, it's no slouch"

More info here, or here (at Acer).

QUOTE (lotus03 @ 29 May 2004, 00:29)Ah, but will it crash if you use it in a tunnel?

Lotus

PS. Still waiting for the McLaren stuff...
lotus - just to clarify - it may look sexy - but - it is NOT a macintosh - so presumably will crash most anywhere...
