Mark of Fibreslots hasn't posted on the Forum for quite a while. Can only suggest you try to contact him through his sales' posts on eBay.

I bought some items from him back in October/November and I think he had quite a lot of work on back then. However, he is listed on eBay and his seller name is markbognor (732) although if you simply do a search on eBay for FibreSlots it should take you straight to the items he is selling. Hope this helps.

Need to get my finger out on the almost finished Imp and the yet to be started Anglia, Escort, A40 trio. Unless I decide to do something with the Pop shell that I also have in a box. That one might become a 70s style gasser, as a nod to my hours reading my brother's Custom Car mags, way back when.

Now that I'm back minding the shop, with not a great deal to do, I'm back at the Imp. Here's the chassis. Motor, wheels and axles from various bin bound Scalextric junkers, tyres from Sandbach Slot Cars, spacers, stoppers and washers from whatever Pendles had on cheap, Scale auto wood guide filed down to work on Carrera track, and some careful assembly. To fit the Imp shell it's about as short as it can possibly go.

Here's the basic shell after a coat of bright orange Rustoleum 2X. Quite a bit of finishing to do, but it's good enough for the time being. Don't look too hard at my first attempt at cutting windows in a vac-form shell.

Hi Trisha, our club races FibreSlot in the digital format and it is a really popular class. Go to the Pantyffynnon club site and you should be able to see a few pictures there. I have last years championship winning VW Beetle, a Sunbeam Stiletto, a Mk1 Escort, a Mk2 Escort and a BMW 2002 which is currently work in progress. In our club we have a Morris 1000, (very nice too), an A40 and a Ford Anglia and, IIRC, an A35 too.

Not surprised, Mike. I reach for my Fibreslots' Beetles on a daily basis. They look, and go, so very well.

One of my quickest and most rewarding slot cars that's virtually impossible to de-slot. Standard PCS chassis, 18k Mabuchi and PCS 14in alloys. No magnet, no additional weight. A magical little car.

Well, the Imp is, substantially, finished, with the driver tray hot glued in place. I just can't get over just how nice it is to drive compared to, say, a Scalextric Mini with essentially identical running gear. It's just so controllable and chuckable. Now I need to get on with the A40 or one of the Fords I have in the same box.

Thanks. I'm going through a bit of a short oval phase at the moment, so it will remain unglazed as per Hot Rod/Classic Hot Rod classes. It might, however, get an anti-wheel intrusion strut in the windscreen opening, and a window net beside the driver if I can ever be bothered, along with some decal work.

In the meantime, I've got an A40 to finish in time for a trip to a friend's track next Saturday. Back half of the chassis is largely sorted, so if I can get a couple of uninterrupted sessions in the week I should have it runnable, if unpainted, in time.

Some cracking comments in here guys thank you! It's always great to see folk building my cars.

I think my original sales thread died on here with the forum change, or maybe because I hadn't updated it for a while. I'm not sure If I still have Hobby Trader status and hadn't got round to investigating that and rewriting the thread.
