Fly messed up with this one...

They labelled the car as having raced in the 1971 Kyalami 9-Hour, when it in fact raced in the 1970 event.

The David Piper-entered Team Gunston car qualified 3rd fastest but was a DNF, having retired with brake problems.

It was chassis number 917LH-010, originally bought by Piper in late 1969 and first entered in the 1969 Kyalami 9-Hour, which it won.

It was converted to 'K' specifications for the 1970 season.

It actually competed in the 1971 Kyalami 9-Hour in Lucky Strike Racing colours, one of two 917s entered by Piper for Charlton / Attwood and Casoni / Adamowicz.

Kind regards,

Russell

Thank you for answering my request.
For a used one without seeing it, 20.00GBP or 35.00USD. I will then have to come up with freight costs. I'm hoping that there is no visible damage to paint work as such. I can cope with chassis wear and stuff because I can fix that, but I cant fix up damaged tampo.
