Everything except the 'Interkits' Viper has been shown many many times before. Actually these release sheets from Fly are not worth the paper they are written on, I see them as a non tactful nudge by Fly to say:

"Look everyone we ARE still going to make these, we just don't know when so we will say this month again and one day we will be right"

That said I look forward to the GTvs, 911s, the buggyra for some odd reason AND the Venturi because that will annoy all those misguided fools who paid hundreds of pounds on Ebay for non Official copies last year (anyone else remember that sad/funny saga on SCI?)

UKsqueezea - the 917 pictured is the special road car built for count Rossi of the drinks firm 'martini'

this was built by the racing division at Wiessach, and was based on an ex Martini racing car I believe, minimal modifiations were made to make the car a little better suited to road use- including fabricating a silencer system.

the only place they could get the car registered was in Alabama i believe, so the car has US state reg plates on it !

I have a picture of this car being driven down the autobahn on the way from being picked up by count rossi - the thing looks completely mad on the road

hope this has helped

just done some more research (via google !)

the count rossi 'road' 917 was actually converted from chassis 917-030 which originally was a martini race car.

this car was raced at 1000k's Zeltweg meeting in Austria, and was a full 5.0 litre spec car with experimental ABS brakes - interestingly this car is also made by FLY as C82.

UKsqeezea - have a search on 'rossi 917' in google images - there are a couple of colour pics of this road car, it is certainly silver in colour

one of the pics is the one i have in a book, showing Count Rossi and his personal valet driving down the autobahn - it's quite funny as there is not a lot of room for two people in a 917 !

Thanks again Mr Banana.

That site is a hoot.

Did eventually find the photo of the two sardines in the Porsche. Its the sort of car you'd use to take a girl out on a first date, so you could pretty much be done with the small talk by the time you reached the club.

But with another bloke.
It would make you reach for a knob on the radio veeerrry carefully.

Is that yellow Porsche on the top right the Toad Hall Porsche as raced in '72 at Le Mans? If so that would be Michael Keyser who just happens to be opening a 1/32nd slot car shop not too far from me
Thank you Ecurie Martini
