And while we are on the subject of the Microsoft-like electric motor world dominance of the Mabuchi corporation, somebody(Prof Fate-I think) recently suggested that the SCX motors are one of theirs. I had always assumed (bad thing to do, I know) that these were in-house products, but as the later Team Slot cars have a very similar powerplant there may be something in it. Mind you, the early Team Slots had a virtually identical copy of the old Triang RX and I've seen photos of some nice ladies back in the sixties making these in the Scalextric factory, so don't try and tell me that "old Ken" had a hand in them too!
