Just got my latest order from Spain: Fly GT40 A183, Fly Ferrari Daytona E652 and the Ninco Porsche 911 Turbo... I was quite surprised to see that inside the Ferrari Daytona was not the usual Mabuchi S-can but a Fox type motor, even without the wrapper that's been on the 'racing' motors previously.

The marking on the motor is PC-130SF 16115BT, which implies that it's actually a Nichibo, not any type of Mabuchi FK130 (Fox/Cheetah) at all even though the can is externally similar. The specs for Nichibo PC-130SF types in general give < 10000 rpms and very low torque (20g/cm max.), but I could not find the specs for the 16115BT variant...

Does anyone know what's behind this mystery motor?

There's an adaptor, slightly different this time than the ones used with the racing motors before... as far as I can see, there's no change in the chassis itself -> no chance for a solid front axle.
