AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHH!

Yet more bloody Dodge Vipers - more "limited" editions as well - I can hardly contain my excitement!

Surely they must run out of liveries soon. Who can tell us how many there are left?

I suppose Fly might make a new mould one day - no, can't see any Wessex Saddlebacks at 20,000 feet.

So they are going to actually make A15?!? I have seen some home jobs a while back on epay.It will be interesting if they pull this off. The old catalog shot looked really nice. Also like the new 908 Flunder LH. I hope they stick to the list

Modified - some while ago - maybe.

Completely new? I remain to be convinced.

Still, I stopped buying them after the 5th one so what do I know.

Can anyone tell me how many there are altogether?

Brian - modified? Completely new, see the previous threads here and here for full details. True enough that there have been many different liveries, but that is simply because the model is popular: popular enough for Scalextric to join in later in the year and add to the Viper collections!

BMW Art Cars did race at Le Mans- well the CSLs and M1 at least. Late 80s/early 90's cars didn't, but the last one (Protect Me Form What I Want) LMP car ran at least in qualifying,if not the race, during the ALMS in 1999 I believe.

In my time at BMW I heard that Warhol had done a CSL, but that car got overtaken by the rules, so never transfered to full size race car. They then tried to get him to do the M1. He surveyed the car, walking arond the large scale, plain white model several times before stopping and saying, "It's prefect as it is".

History records that an M1 with Warhol livery did race, but not how much more BMW had to pay to get him to do it.... (Maybe SCX can get in on the party with a re-livery of the M1 as next year's Vintage edition.

The worst one, in my view, is the Z1 by Penck. I'm not saying I could do better, I'm saying anybody could do better.

I was still at BMW when they commisioned Hockney to do a car. As part of the promotion we ran a kids competition with BBC Blue Peter and the kids section of The Sunday Times. The winner had a full-size 850i painted in their design, but sadly only on top of a temporary coating. My leaving present from BMW GB was a 1/43 scale diecast hand-painted with the winning kids livery. It is still one of my favourite models.

Look everybody knows that what Fly says and when they come out are 2 different things, I wouldn't be supprised if they dont bring out at least a handful of more GT40's before the end of the year.

@lobsterboy - actually, they released a small catalogue at the beginning of the year detailing what models would be made in the next 6 months up until June, and in the main they have carried out the schedule very well. There will always be additions to the list as different companies get their own limited editions arranged, but in the main, as of late, Fly have been very good at giving us a schedule and sticking to it.

I will back Aaron up on that. Nearly all of my purchases these days is Fly, and therefore I keep a vigilant watch on new release schedules and budget with what I collect and can afford accordingly. I have noticed in the last year or more that Fly have kept to the Flyers they issue.

By the way Aaron, if Fly issue another 6 monthly flyer pamphlet like they did earlier this year, and there are any going spare............
