Hi All

I need to change the motor on a Fly Viper, but am looking for the best way of removing and refitting the driveshaft spring from the motor to the shaft ?

Part 2:
Are the later Vipers quicker than earlier versions, or are the chances simply more that the motor has gone soft ?

Part 1} I do not know of an easy method, but replacement springs are available in packs of 2 for £1.50 rrp.

Part 2} If you're comparing the very early vipers with the later ones then yes, the speed of the motor was improved with the new chassis that came out about 2 years ago.

Cheers,

Aaron

The best way I found was to leaver the spring off with some pliers, not the best way but the spring slid off OK. You can use the old spring though a little loose, just slip the spring/shaft back on the motor and snap the motor back in place, once you are happy that and it all lines up drop a bit of Super Glue on the spring and away you go.
