Well, you caught my attention with the title :- )
Reading down the entry list I thought it would never end.

Ah those were the days - I would have been marshaling at Devilla with Dunfermline Car Club

Thanks for posting this Phil.

Kind regards, Leo

Yes Leo I`ve been wallowing in nostalgia going down the entry list apart from the world class names at the top, down the list Penti Airikkala at 48 in a Kadett, Russell Brookes 56 in a Cooper S, Peter Clarke/ Tony Mason of the infamous Woburn Abbey pond incident and then shedloads of clubman whose names bring back lots of memories, Morley, Robinson, Beynon, Faulkner, Crellin, Churchill, Gullick, Wathen, Videan and Tordorf.

The up and coming names along with seasoned campaigners - Cowan, Fall, Sparrow, Boyd, Culcheth, Malkin/Short, W.J. Coleman, Fowkes, Marie Claude Beaumont and Haugland.

And people wonder why we rabbit on about the good old days

Two hundred and fifty entrants and seventy seven stages, an adventure for crews and spectators alike.
Cheers - Phil

Of course nostalgia is not what it used to be - LOL - I was convinced that 1971 was one of the years when Harry Kallstrom won in a Fulvia Coupe. A bit shocked when the video announced SAAB winning, so had to check and of course it was 1969 and 1970 for Kallstrom. Linky to Wikipedia

Keep 'em coming !

The vid above is from Youtube part three of the RAC `71 which I think is taken from that film, parts one and two are on there as well. On Amazon, Smoke and Rubber have three copies of From Harrogate It Started, which again I think may be digitally remasted, for the grand price of £5.99, I`ve got the vid but just bought the DVD.

I Last year we found Castrol Classics, eight films from 1968 to 1984, all on four DVD`s in a box, with The Flying Finns, Stages to Victory, Appointment at Penha, A Tale of Two Rallies, Chariots in the Sun, The Twilight Zone, A Place in the Sun and Local Heroes for tenner. Some BHP directed ones amongst them.

A few of the lads on here bought them, That is on the Smoke and Rubber site and still at that price - bargain
