The 'new content' selection has started taking an age to load. This is in Firefox. In the past it was always almost instantaneous.

This is definitely reinforcing my somewhat negative view of Google.

I ran an R/C car forum for 10 years, it was a thankless task and there were always complainers even though it was free and I allowed photo uploads to my server.

This forum is free, it has everything I need and is my #1 go to forum for Slot Cars so I refuse to criticise in any way. If it's slow then be patient or open links in a new tab.

I don't think refusing to criticise is particularly helpful. As you say, this is the best forum bar none. However, before the change to Google Drive, I had no complaints whatsoever. I am merely cataloguing the changes that have occurred.

There is no way I would stop using the forum because of speed problems. Feedback is useful as it allows the tech people to fix problems and maybe improve the experience.

No problem whatsoever with your comments Gordon. We need feedback on any problems but you are posting this stuff in the wrong place. It should be in the cloud thread HERE. I have already moved a couple of your posts over and would be grateful if you could add any further comments there.

That sort of negative talk does the forum no favours. Constructive criticism makes the forum a better place and you obviously dont want that. How can the owners address issues if they are not aware?

That is in your computer security settings . May also be related to the browser you are using.
Your computer is telling you about the risk of this site.
Check in the address box at the top and see if it shows the locked or unlocked logo.
If unlocked the your security settings is my guess Bricks
Cheers

Is there a way to get to the last page in a thread on mobile? When clicking a thread Ive not accessed before, if it has many pages the only way I can see to get to the most recent posts is to click the next button many times, which if there are 10+ pages is very tedious.

This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
