I allways tough they where a present for those, who race at the weekends...
and not a general release,,
so £ 255 is a litlle over rated, just like the prices on e-Bay (£350 or best offer)

Yes I believe you are correct 50 of these were made(not 300 as often thought)

I saw a Slot.it Porsche 956KH go for £138 a few days ago on eBay, can't remember the exact details of the car, it was a gold-ish colour, sure it said only 12 were given out for Eurochampionship in a certain year, can't remember exactly now. I also noticed another of the same car that went for a little bit more.

It was mostly likely the 2011 Enduro car that was surprisingly a Porsche 956 Jagermeister in Gold.

They have been selling for between $150 and $300USD.
