After buying and racing a 1/24th scaleauto BMW GTR white kit I've been bitten by the larger scale bug!
After a quick look at the available model kits in 1/24 I thought I'd have a go at a kit bash of one of my fav cars, a Toyota Trueno.
These are popular in drifting competitions and look the biz going sideways!
I had an ninco xslot which was sitting doing nothing but gathering dust and as the Toyota is quite a small car the chassis was easily adjusted to suit, and in fact the xslot chassis could go wider and longer.
The odd thing was that the body in the kit was almost see through, but I decided to paint it metallic blue with the matt black bottom.
Theres more detailing to do on the body and I've got to build an interior for it but I'm pleased with it so far.
I'll keep this post updated as I progress. The car will be raced so its not intended to be a show stopper!
