"An icon of the swinging 60's". No not Jim, the E-Type described by Enzo Ferrari as the most beautiful car ever made upon it unveiling, the Jaguar E-Type has gone on to become one of the most instantly recognisable and iconic shapes in automotive history. Capable of speeds of over 140mph and blessed with superb handling, the E-Type became an instant hit, both on the road and on race tracks across the world. Having gone through numerous design changes, it is this early version that is considered by most to be the most beautiful, especially in its open two-seater form. 2011 saw the 50th anniversary of the E-Type. A bit more welding then off to the paint shop before its ready to bolt back together for it's new impatient owner.

Hope you enjoy.

I was thinking more health and safety with the welding! But the only figure in anything like the correct pose lying in the collection. Quite appropriate as he was originally an Olympic javelin thrower

The shell was card covered foam, roof trusses from balsa, doors and frames from plasticard with a plastic corrugated sheet for the roof.

Glad you like the photos.
