When you go to the Gaugemaster Site now you will see an all new section on the homepage, sitting within a star shaped button is direct access to the Slot car area.

Prices are top dollar but then Gaugemaster do not offer discounts on RRP from their site, a compromise for the Retail Outlets they supply, as Guagemaster are UK Distributors to around 9 Slot Car Manufacturers.

QUOTE A sure sign the Hobby is growing?
Surely, more a sign that Gaugemaster has recently expanded, having recently cornered a bigger proportion of distribution rights within UK? Swings and roundabouts, I think, which doesn't necessarily reflect on the growth or otherwise of the hobby itself.

I must say it is a vast improvement. It was good in the past for viewing Fly, but not so good for viewing other manufacturers who were further down the line. That agonising wait for the cars to race past the screen, unveiling the manufacturer you wanted to view, is a thing of the past now. Obviously, the addition of Racer and Spirit in recent months has induced the change.

The new look Gaugemaster Site has been 're-arranged' as I felt that the slotcars were lost in the midst of the railway. The addition of the various new manufacturers did not actually make any difference, but having taken part on this forum helped highlight the raw deal that slot enthusiasts were getting.

To this end, it is changing now every day. Once you go to the slot car site, you can view the individual news pages for each manufacturer, or now see reviews on certain models. Also, if you click on 'Spares Info' you can select your type of model and get a spares listing specifically for that model - so far Fly and Spirit are featured, but more will follow.

If you have any ideas of what you would like to see, or what would be helpful to you, then let me know and we will see if we can help. However, general feedback, whether good or bad would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Aaron
