I just want to say a big THANKS to all the BSCRA members who helped with the BSCRA exhibition track at the UK Slot Car Festival at Gaydon on 20th May.

Ant Hawkes and Nick Thrower put an excellent show together and with the help of Ian Fisher, Charlie Gooding, John Gooding, Richard Hills, David Hackworth and Ryan Elsam the day ran very smoothly. The exhibition was packed and I had a lot of enquiries and interest about the cars we were running and how impressive they were.

Radio 4 were present and will hopefully be broadcasting a report of the festival on Monday 21st May between 5pm and 6pm. The reporter was very keen on the BSCRA track and kept coming back to ask more questions.

The BSCRA is now becoming more involved with the "Scalextric 4 Schools" competition and this is where all of YOU can help at your local club. There will be more details, about how you can help, coming soon. Keep an eye on the BSCRA website and if you are a club PRO representative or an Area Coordinator, look out for information via email.

Thanks also to those BSCRA members past and present, who helped out with a bit of marshalling from time to time.

I had a brief go with the BRSCA cars at the end of the show and I really enjoyed them, I've never used this type of slotcar before, but they are good fun and very controllable.
