Had to share this Super GT Lexus testing.

If only their licence demands were not so, reportedly, high.

Sad times. :(

Awesome sounds. 🤗

My aural-appreciation module must be of a different spec to yours, Wankel. That noise leaves me cold. Actually, more than cold. I don't like it. High-revving multi-cylinder stuff is more my thing. That thumping low-frequency drone reminds me of brute force rather than impressive engineering.

This is much more beautiful.
Dopes, Dopes. I shake my head in disbelief. Cylinder-wise, eight is the magic number. 🤷‍♂️

Or zero! 🤗

I thought it sounded like a V8. Reminded me of NASCAR engine noises from movies like Days of Thunder.

Oh yes, I missed that....

I owned an RX3 at one stage in my life....I needed to check that it would do 60mph in second gear quite often.

I like every one of them! The incredible diversity of engine sounds is part of the endless fascination of racing cars for me.

Mine as well. I like a nice-sounding car as much as the next enthusiast. But that clip just left me like........ Meh.
I've never tired of anything to do with Auto-Union racing machinery, for to me these cars have always defined the GP car in personification and essence.

Once more I cast pearls before....

True story.

Sad times. :(
Now, if you're talking hill climbs, then there's one V8 I'll make an exception for. Georg Plasa's Judd V8 in his BMW 134. The car eventually cost him his life, but boy, what a legacy of joy he leaves for those of us who get misty-eyed at the sound of good old internal combustion. Bravo Georg.
