Judd? Hmmm, revs too high and wails too much for my, simple, tastes. 🤷♂️
Agree entirely. Everything from single-pot 2-strokes, through to the spine-tingling wail of the BRM V16, via assorted Edwardian monsters, a squillion motorcycles of varying layouts, tearing calico Bugatti straight-8s, aero engines without number, pushrod and OHC V8s in all their incarnations, rotarys, radials, the uncanny mechanical silence of sleeve-valve eccentricities, oil-engined tractors and stationary engines, even Honda's utterly pointless oval-pistoned brainfart, I love 'em all. And every one (with the possible exception of that Honda) is/was a valid solution to the particular problem the designers faced, under the particular circumstances when they faced it.I like every one of them! The incredible diversity of engine sounds is part of the endless fascination of racing cars for me.
