Okay so I heard there was some chip you can put in somewhere to prevent ghost cars from crashing on lane changers?

It's impossible for me to race more than 1 or 2 ghost cars as they continually try to change lanes into each other.

Anyone have a fix?

Hi,
If you look under Pace Cars in SSDC you can uncheck the box for lane changing and they will stay in the lane they start in.

If you are using the original tower for the C7042 you can also specify no lane changes.

Andy said he was working on a variable pace car lane change option so you could select how often the change lanes. Should be out in the next release.

Yes I know about turning off lane changes. But I WANT my cars to change lane... just not into each other.

I read someplace there is a chip that makes the system "know" not to change lanes into one another...

i may be wrong but the scorpious system does this.?? something along the lines of soldering another board into the xlc that prevents both flippers operating together and knows if 2 cars are on the xlc at any given time...???

Scorpius does have Anti-Collision built into the system. You can't run SSD on the track, though. You'd have to switch to Scorpius for everything.
Rick sometimes posts that he had an SSD compatible lane change electronics system with AC developed a while ago, and asks about interest levels, but usually doesn't get enough interest to make enough of them to make it cost effective.
There's also Erik_M who posts in the Digital forum (one level up) about his various ideas, and is working on an AC system for Carrera that he thinks can be applied to SSD. He is convalescing right now, though, so his progress on that is unknown. I wonder if this is what Sadinoel is thinking of?
