I had a look through Roger Gillhams new book, the Definitive Guide.

I thought he did a good job, something in it for everyone I'm sure. I thought it was the first book which best captured the hobby, rather than a catalogue of Scalextric bits and pieces.

Great for Scalextric collectors and enthusiasts alike as well as the rail racing section.

Are they, or , have they been out in the UK for a while.?

I have had mine for a while, I think it is a great book if you are really into Scalextric.

Roger has also widen the books appeal by thing such as the section on rail racing as he raced at the one rail meeting.

The rail cars in the book are the Canadian Lari Davidson built Benz now resting in the Brookland museum.

The Australian Phil/David built Alfa this is such a stunning looking car.

Graham's Bug. Which was a very quick race car at the Brooklands meeting

The chassis shoots show two John Moxon assembled rail cars both Mercedes.

Howdy folks

Amazon are doing a great deal on this book at the moment with a big discount of 30%. It has to be a "must have" for the collector.

Nice site by the way.

I had the pleasure of meeting Roger at the Phoenix GT meeting in March. He is a proper gentleman and overall nice guy. His book is great as are his previous works. Amazon 30 % discount is the way to go!
