and as they say every cloud has a silver lining, took the tv back today and they did'nt have the same model in stock to replace it , so got the next model up

So now running 4k with hdr colour mode LOVELY!!!

I dont think they have got around to supplying chairs at the one here yet!! So your best of waiting outside sitting in your car. At least the parking is still free though. I guess they hav'nt thought of that yet.

Incomprehensible train fares.

Went to my local station today:

"Off peak return to Kings Cross please."

"That will be £46."

"Have you got any cheaper tickets?"

"Yes, buy a return ticket to Dartford and it is only £36.20"

" I don't want to go to Dartord - it is the other side of London with three changes of train."

" You don't have to - just get off at Kings Cross and ignore the rest of the journey."

"Are you telling me that it is cheaper to buy a ticket to somewhere I am not going that is further away?"

"Exactly - welcome to the strange universe of train ticketing."

bit like air fares...when we would want to go to lanzarote it would be the best part of £500... yet the other night flights popped up (genuinely available ones when we couldn't go) for £56....RETURN... go figure!!

Again, they can only offer such a price as they are getting kickback from the local tourist agency or rather its members/supp as they think you will spend more than the subsidy on local businesses

The airfare thing is annoying. It is the same cost to fly Frankfurt Germany -> New York City -> Denver -> Denver -> Detroit -> Detroit -> Frankfurt as it is to fly to Detroit directly...

I also hate that you have to pay a TON of money for reservations. I have 2 kids, under 18, like I want to run the risk of not sitting next to them for an 8 hour flight.

Is the airline going to babysit them for me?!
