Yet another funeral this morning. It seems I meet people socially at the damn things more than for any other reason!! Function of age I guess.

How I hate them. Poor folk baring their souls in public when they already feel bad enough. I've told Ronnie she has to bury me under a pear tree in the garden and have a party. None of this long faced, tearful stuff. Once I've left the body, it's just a lump of skin and bones, it ain't me so get rid of the 'orrid thing.

Wor Lass has a friend who works in the NHS as a health visitor. She's a 58 y-o spinster. How the chuff can she lecture new mothers on how to correctly look after their babies when she's never had one of her own??? That boils my water.

can of worms time....immigration. I know a young couple , she is english , he his australian , who met while working in europe. they married last year and have just discovered that two will become three. due to unfathomable madness they are unable to reside in either the uk or oz. if they were migrants of questionable origin they would be welcomed with open arms and have everything they need thrown at them. yet as a hard working , self supporting couple they are denied the right to live in either country. grumpy?...no incredulous!!!
