It's a beautiful morning here on Tyneside. Just a week until Summer Time begins. I feel like winter is finally behind us. :D

So, what have I got to be grumpy about?.........

After months of humming and haahing, Wor Lass finally bit the bullet and bought herself an e-bike. For once in her life she actually bought something that isn't the cheapest she could find. It's a Raleigh. Looks fairly decent.............
But it's HUUUUUGE, and it's heavy. I struggled to lift it into the back of our runabout car, and had to take the front wheel off to get the bike in. This bike makes my large frame Gary Fisher look small.
It's also too big to fit in our 3-bike garden store.
TBH I think when she actually comes to attempt to ride it properly, it's not going to be the bike for her.

Early on a Sunday morning 40 years ago I stopped for petrol at a station on a busy arterial road in Hereford. Very close to the petrol station someone had had an accident, for there was a Volvo 244 perched on top of a sturdy hedge. The chap must have spun it, too, because the car was facing oncoming traffic.

I'm at a loss to this day to imagine how this incredible feat was accomplished, for it fell into the 'you couldn't make it up' category of improbable motoring yarns. Sadly, however, it's absolutely true.

A couple from Scotland are soon to embark upon a trip from the North Pole to the South Pole in an all-electric powered car. They will rely on wind and solar power to recharge their car batteries. Hmm...

Orwell Park is a woodland running along the river Orwell near Ipswich in Suffolk. The inspiration in my mind for my Slot car track.
Its where I walk my dog a couple of times a day every day and the amount of rubbish from people who decide to barbecue and drink on some of the open areas or sandy beach like riverside when the tides out has quadrupled.
I can't make my mind up wether its due to covid or there jab that has made them ignorant .

Hope you remembered that the clocks went forward an hour at midnight, chaps. Instead of dark, wet, cold, grey, grim days, we can look forward to lighter versions of the same. 'Terrific.'
Yes, but did it not happen officially at 01hr00?? Sorry, just being pedantic - as ever.
Ie. they go from 01hr00 GMT to 02hr00 BST, then at the end of October they go from 03hr00 BST to 02hr00 GMT.
In wor hoose it happened at about 22hr30 yesterday, apart from the one radio-controlled clock we own.

Re discarding of rubbish etc, it starts at school, the lack of social and interpersonal skills and lack of care for the community/environment is getting noticeably worse, if there's some litter on the ground and I politely ask a pupil to pick it up, I usually get the response but I didn't drop it, so why should I pick it up.
And as for vandalism in the toilets .......

I'm a bit of a night owl as some of you may have noticed by some of my post times and the LED lights in my slot car display cabinets are set to turn off at 1.00am. At about 1.20am I realised that the light were still on, wondered what was going on and then realised that it was the clocks going forward. At 00.59.59 the clocks jumped to 2.00 so 1.00 never happened🤬. Think I might have to reduce the timing by a few seconds at some point 😁 Just as well it was just some LED lights.

Mt radio controlled clock is the one thing that hasn't change yet. Living in an old building with 9" solid brick walls it just doesn't like making contact. I have an old Sony AM/FM radio alarm clock that's not tuned in to any radio station but it always adjusts correctly and at the correct time.o_O
